Seeking dedicated, fun and passionate music educators to join our team and help our music school grow!
The Position: We’re seeking a part-time guitar and bass instructor to teach private lessons to kids (ages 7+) and adults at our cozy, welcoming studio in Fallbrook. Our curriculum blends classical foundations with contemporary styles and encourages creativity, composition, and collaboration. The ability to teach group classes (ages 7+) is a strong plus.
Responsibilities / Duties:
• Teach private guitar/bass lessons (and group classes, if applicable) using our creative, well-rounded curriculum
• Create weekly practice plans tailored to each student
• Communicate progress with parents and studio staff
• Prepare students for recitals, student band performances (in house)
• Contribute to student retention through friendly, supportive teaching
• Maintain an organized and professional workspace
• Assist at events such as recitals, open houses, or workshops as needed
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in music, education, or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years teaching experience (private or group)
• Comfortable working with both children and adults
• Strong music reading skills (lead sheets, tablature and notation)
• Ability to teach up to intermediate level and beyond
• Experience playing guitar and/or bass in contemporary band settings is highly preferred
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Fluent in English; Spanish a plus
• Must pass a background check
Schedule:
Immediate need: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 1:30–6:30pm, with the ability to expand to earlier hours (starting at 11am) and/or additional days, especially Thursdays and Saturdays. Our studio is open Monday–Saturday, and we are actively looking for someone who would like to grow to 15–20 hours/week.
Start date: Flexible start date between December 2025 and January 2026.
The Location: Lessons are given at our studio, located at 1588 S. Mission Rd. Suite 200.

Pay: Starting pay $30-33/hr DOE for teaching, calculated from hours taught. (All training will be paid at our Training Pay Rate of $20/hr). We cannot offer benefits at this time.
